Branch Manager

The Company

Our client is a well-established provider of HVAC, mechanical and facilities services, with a strong reputation for delivering quality service to commercial and industrial customers across New Zealand.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead their Hamilton operation and play a key role in the next stage of the business.

The Role

As Branch Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the Hamilton branch.

You will lead and develop the team, oversee operational and financial performance, maintain strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to grow the business.

The successful candidate will be commercially minded, people-focused and comfortable operating in a fast-paced technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Hamilton branch, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
• Take responsibility for branch revenue, profitability, budgets and cost control.
• Develop and manage business plans, budgets and forecasts to support continued growth.
• Lead, motivate and develop the branch team, ensuring the right resources and skills are in place.
• Manage labour, materials and technical resources to ensure work is delivered efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
• Monitor productivity, utilisation, job profitability and overall branch performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and key stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop existing customer relationships.
• Oversee service contracts, maintenance works and projects to ensure they are delivered to agreed standards, budgets and timeframes.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure effective scheduling, estimating, procurement and technical support.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant health, safety, quality and compliance requirements.

Skills And Experience

• Proven experience in a Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Service Manager or similar senior leadership role.
• Experience within HVAC, mechanical services, facilities management, building services or a related technical industry.
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, profitability, forecasting and cost control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a technical or trades-based team.
• Strong understanding of service delivery, maintenance operations and customer requirements.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Experience identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
